Le Dodici Città Ideali / The Twelve Ideal Cities are a collection of contes philosophiques, or science fiction stories, if you prefer. Each is the logical extrapolation of  a pre-existing trend in the history of the city and in current ideas on urbanism.
There is also a thirteenth city, as an explanation of the other twelve, and there is also exist, similar to a series of Chinese boxes, countless other cities…
